Swim Good

Beautiful sunrise shining through her dirty window

She lay in bed accompanied by warm salty tears

Sweet guitar acoustics spilling out of laptop speakers

Tranquility and serenity surrounds her…

Easing a bruised mind, body, soul, …heart.

Back on the road, destined for more lonely days

Trying to understand his devilish ways

Over and over she thought, “But I was his and he was mine”.

While trying to avoid the fact that good things part with time

Would he have fit in her picture years from now? Better than him, someone would come and complete her vow.

She had always enjoyed his sensual loving, despite the fact that his heart was filled with nothing

Peaceful as the waves that push up onto the shore’s supple grains

She finally steps back to remove her heart’s stabbing pains

Though she can’t think about him this soon, a smile manages to escape her face followed by an upbeat tune. Time won’t erase the memories, but time can heal the wound

Let go and Let God… another will come soon
